A first look at the Latch-Up lineup

by Philipp Wagner on March 18, 2026

We're happy to announce the first set of speakers for this year's Latch-Up conference in Waterloo, Canada from May 1-3. One thing is clear: it's going to be a great conference! We already have talks on open source ASIC tapeouts, FPGAs, education around free and open source silicon, any much more. Take a look at the conference website for a sneak preview of what to expect!

There's still time to register for Latch-Up, but hurry, the rooms are filling up quickly! While you register, you can also submit a talk through the registration interface. Full talks are about ten minutes, so you don't need to have worked on a topic for many years to submit a talk! Previous conferences showed it again and again: everyone has something cool to tell!

To give you all a bit more time, we extended the talk submission deadline to Sunday, April 5, 2026!

The Latch-Up conference is a weekend of presentations and networking dedicated to free and open source silicon. It's an event for the open source digital design community, much like its European sister conference ORConf, run by the FOSSi Foundation.
